What you will do

Would you like to experience what it is like to work at a student employment agency in the heart of Utrecht during your studies at a university of applied sciences, with daily contact with students and young professionals? At ASA Utrecht on Ganzenmarkt, you will join as an HR intern at ASA Utrecht in a young, energetic team where you are truly part of the team.

In a few months, you will discover how recruitment, HR and employment mediation work in practice. Everything you learn in your studies in communication, business administration, HRM or psychology can be applied immediately in conversations with candidates and clients. You will develop skills such as conversation techniques, planning, prioritizing and customer-focused working, which will be highly valuable later in HR, recruitment or consultancy.

You will also receive intensive guidance from experienced staffing consultants, while having the space to take on projects independently and try out your own ideas. With an internship allowance of €500 per month (at 40 hours), 8% holiday allowance and 32-40 hours per week on location, you will build your CV, your network in Utrecht and discover which direction within HR suits you best.

Your responsibilities as an HR intern at ASA Utrecht:

• Candidate recruitment:

  You actively search for students and young professionals, assess CVs and motivations, and match profiles to suitable vacancies, so clients can quickly find the right people.

• Communication with candidates:

  You call, email and WhatsApp candidates, schedule appointments and answer questions, so everyone feels well informed and welcome throughout the process.

• Intake and application interviews:

  You prepare intake and job interviews and conduct them together with staffing consultants, to properly assess who is suited to which position and organization.

• Vacancy management:

  You write and post vacancy texts, keep them up to date and think about how to reach the right target audience through various channels.

• Administration and process improvement:

  You process contracts, sickness notifications and file updates, and help consider how the candidate journey can be organized more intelligently, quickly and clearly.

What we ask of you

We are looking for someone who wants to work as part of a young recruitment team on Ganzenmarkt in Utrecht, enjoys working in the office and gets energy from contact with students and young professionals.

• Availability: You are available 32-40 hours per week for a practical internship during your study period.
• Living in the region: You live in (or near) Utrecht or can easily reach Utrecht city centre every day.
• Education level: You are an HBO student in Communication, Business Administration, HRM or Psychology and are looking for a practical internship.
• Personal qualities: You communicate well in Dutch, are eager to learn, proactive, accurate and independent, and enjoy working together.
