What you will do

Do you love driving, do you enjoy being on the road in the Utrecht region, and do you enjoy contact with people? As an Afternoon Courier DHL Utrecht, you work at DHL Express, an international logistics organization where speed, quality, and teamwork come together. You work on location in Utrecht, between 12.30 and 20.30 hours, at least 24 and at most 40 hours per week. You get a starting salary between €16.60 and €21.58 per hour, 50% surcharge on Saturdays, 6.25% flex budget, 8.33% holiday allowance, 10% holiday hours, travel allowance, direct pension accrual, and a temporary contract with a view to permanent.

Your tasks as an Afternoon Courier DHL Utrecht:

• Route preparation: You report to the location in Utrecht, load your van carefully, check the shipments, and view your route so you can drive as efficiently as possible.
• Delivery and collection: You deliver and collect packages from companies and individuals, ensuring neat handling and correct registration in the scanner.
• Customer contact: You answer questions, explain shipments, and ensure a friendly, professional impression, so customers experience DHL as reliable.
• Cooperation with colleagues: You coordinate details with your team and planning, help where necessary with loading or unloading, and ensure together that all shipments hit the road on time.
• Safe and careful work: You drive according to traffic rules, follow DHL's safety guidelines, handle packages neatly, and can provide a VOG (Certificate of Conduct) to guarantee the trust of customers and colleagues.

What we ask of you

We are looking for an enthusiastic courier who loves being on the road and wants to be part of the team.

• You are available at least 3 to 5 days per week
• You have had your category B driver's license for at least 2 years
• You are available from 12:30 to 20:30
• You speak and understand Dutch or English well
• You can apply for a Certificate of Conduct (VOG)
• You are reliable and customer-oriented
