IntroductionAre you a hospitality professional who gets energy from variety, hospitality, and keeping an overview? For the museum café of UMU in Utrecht, we are looking for a Hospitality Supervisor who, together with a small team, ensures a smooth-running day. You will work at a unique location with a diverse target group: from the elderly to families. No day is the same; you constantly switch between quiet moments and peaks, and respond to this effortlessly.

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you are the point of contact on the floor and actively participate:

• Opening the location and starting up the terrace;
• Checking the planning and responding to reservations and special details;
• Setting up rooms (5 in total) for meetings and reservations;
• Managing and working within a small team (approx. 3 people per day);
• Ensuring a hospitable and neat appearance of the location;
• Preparing and serving simple dishes (sandwiches, salads);
• Cash register operations (Lightspeed);
• Helping out where necessary (including dishwashing).

What are we looking for?We are looking for a proactive, guest-oriented, and independent hospitality employee who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves:

Hard requirements:

• Experience in hospitality (required), leadership experience is a plus;
• Good command of Dutch and English;
• Experience with cash register systems (Lightspeed is a plus);
• In possession of certificates such as Social Hygiene, HACCP, and BHV (or willing to obtain these).

Personal characteristics:

• Proactive and sees what work needs to be done;
• Hospitable, neat, and strong in communication;
• Flexible and easily switches between busy and quiet times;
• Team player who can also work independently;
• Not too proud to help out, also with the dishes.
