Your availability

Want to earn some extra money next to your (high) school? We are looking for sales assistants for Julia's Utrecht Centraal. A part-time job at the station? Our shops at the station are super easy to reach. Want to grab a shift before you go home? No problem! You work in a cozy team and determine your own flexible working hours. In addition to a great salary, you also get a discount card. This way, you can score your favorite snacks and drinks cheaply during your shift or on the go.

What do we offer?

  • A good salary (& discount card up to 60% discount)
  • Flexible shifts, perfect for next to school
  • A great working atmosphere with fun colleagues

When do you work?

We are looking for new employees for morning shifts from 8:00 - 11:00 and/or evening shifts from 16:00 - 19:00. Of which at least one shift is in the weekend.

Dutch at level B1 is required for this position.

This is what you will do as a sales assistant:

At Julia's, everything revolves around energy and hospitality. While the trains come and go, you are in the kitchen preparing fresh pasta, making a perfect latte art, or helping a traveler quickly with a freshly prepared sandwich. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everyone boards the train with a smile.

Always on the move, always fun

The station is hard work, but above all, fun! You are part of a close-knit team where hard work and a good atmosphere go hand in hand. A joke in between, a compliment about your latte art - it's all part of it.

Easy to combine with school and free time

Because Julia's is located at the station, your workplace is always close by. Grab a shift before or after school, without detours. Flexible working hours make it ideal to earn extra money in a way that fits your life.

Extra benefits

During working hours, you enjoy a discount of up to 60% in our shops. Outside working hours, you also receive up to 35% discount on products at our NS Retail shops.

This is what we offer:

  • Are you 21 years or older? Then you earn € 14.99 gross per hour excluding any allowances.
  • Are you younger than 21? Then the youth wage applies according to the hospitality CAO.
  • Additional employment conditions on top of the CAO.
  • The possibility to get a permanent contract after 7 months.
  • Working with a fixed number of hours per week.
  • Flexible shifts, no nine-to-five job.
  • The dynamics of the station and fun colleagues.
  • Up to 60% discount at various shops at the station.
  • Any contribution to your travel expenses up to a maximum of €10.50 per day (from 10 km). We do not reimburse parking costs and do not have fixed parking spaces (unless indicated otherwise).
  • Do you want to combine learning and working (MBO level 3 or 4)? Then there is a possibility to follow a BBL training.
  • An onboarding program (including a buddy system and onboarding app).

Applying for this job:

You can reach the location within 30 minutes without public transport, because this does not always run in the early morning or late evening. We find it important that everyone who works with us feels at home. This is reflected in everything we do and therefore also in our hiring policy regarding diversity and inclusion. This vacancy is for direct recruitment; acquisition is not appreciated.

Good to know before applying

Working at Utrecht Centraal is incredibly convenient for students at Utrecht University or HU University of Applied Sciences, as the station is the central transit hub of the city. However, because shifts start as early as 08:00 or end late, the employer requires that you can reach the station within 30 minutes without relying on public transport. Be sure to check the source requirements carefully, as a minimum Dutch language proficiency of B1 is strictly required, and you must be available for at least one weekend shift.
