About the work
As a yard shunter and/or warehouse worker, you are responsible for moving trailers, bins and trucks to and from the loading dock. You ensure that the logistics process runs smoothly and safely. This full-time position of 40 hours per week offers room for your own input and development; you can count on good guidance, and there are opportunities to obtain your shunting certificate if you do not have one yet. You work together with colleagues in shipping and transport planning and actively contribute to a safe and tidy workplace.
You start your working day with an overview of the incoming and outgoing transport. You then get to work moving trailers and assist with loading and unloading trucks. You identify deviations, contribute ideas for improvements and communicate clearly with your colleagues. You always keep an overview, work in a structured manner and pay attention to safety. You enjoy working as part of a team, but you can also take responsibility independently.
